where does one find the software documentation for WPforo. I have a programmer working with me on this and he has requested this information.

You can find all information about wpForo here:
https://wpforo.com/documentation/
For the core wpForo plugin support, you can use wpForo Community. Here we mostly support wpForo addons issues.
