Hello there,

We have experienced an issue in our site where sometimes due to extremely high load on the server it can become a little slow and we get a lot of double posts from users who just keep hitting the "Add Topic/Submit" button.

I have been looking in the configuration and I don't see an option to prevent this. We use both WPForo and WPDiscuz. I have also checked the provided Addons for both WPForo and WPDiscuz but none appear to have any tool that would help us with the problem we are facing either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @eli,

Thank you for your interest in our products and for contacting us.

If the problem is related to spammers, wpForo has many options to prevent spam posts.

1. Make sure wpForo Antispam is enabled in Dashboard > Forums > Tools admin page.

2. Increase the spam suspicion level in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam admin page to something like this:

Spam Suspicion Level for Topics: 50
Spam Suspicion Level for Posts: 50

If this happens with the regular users, there is no any option to control it. However, we'll take it into consideration to add some control feature for this purpose for future releases.

Hi @astghik,

Thanks your replying, actually my problem is not related to spam, but to regular users "Submitting" their post several times when the site has become slow. This would be very important to have this feature so if you can add it to your to do list I would greatly appreciate it and I'm sure it will help many forum owners as well.

This needs a check like the other forums, so when you click to post twice the same post,

you get message , is already posted.

@eli isnt it this what you looking for ? Is usefull.

many musts are missing and some more important from this one, but they are willing to make them.

For me most important is the favorite topics widget.

Anyway , i hope they will satisfy us all.

Yeah, I hope so, eventually 🙂

I understand this is a forum that is being made from scratch and it's still the best (Though it's getting some serious competition) but some features dealing with security and moderation should be given priority on the to do list.

We'll see how development progresses.
