Hi this is in no way intended as criticism, just a query as to whether anything is in the development pipeline to make wpForo a complete player in the forum arena with regards to front-end admin tools.

wpForo in my opinion is an excellent new forum, offers great performance and is visually stunning compared to its peers. However I find the lack of two fundamental/standard admin tools to manipulate forum content, a real pain and disappointment. The lack of these tools does make my life complicated on a busy forum.

For example one of the fundamental tools any admin requires is the ability to split off-random topic posts to another thread. wpForo does not provide any such front-end tool to achieve this.  You can do this via the back-end using SQL Db table manipulation as detailed here. I have been forced to use this but it is so very time consuming and although that method does work it is hardly simple or admin friendly.

The other missing tool is the ability to merge posts.

If both of these tools could be considered for inclusion to wpForo in a near future release it would be very welcome I image not only by me but others too.

I appreciate you probably have other features which develop an income stream that may take priority over the free core functionality. However some key core features that are missing might just deter others from taking up wpForo in the first place. I know I agonised about it but hoped that at some point these might be addressed hence my post asking here.

Perhaps you might consider developing an admin module that provides the above and many more such features as a purchasable admin module. I would be more than happy to buy such a module.

Regards
Chris

Thank you radiostv,

These two features are on top of our to-do list. These will be added in a one version, probably in 1.4.5 version.
