Greetings - Perhaps there is something I am misunderstanding, but I have a few questions re. the Popular Authors widget, which I am testing on a new site:
- It includes a "from" and "to" date. Can either/both of these be left blank (in order to include all posts since beginning of blog, or all posts up to present)?
- I have not been able to get anything under this widget other than "There are no data between selected dates." I have the Pro version, and when I go to Users > User Statistics, I indeed see information under each tab except "Popular Authors," even when I update data.
Many thanks --
Jim P.
Hi James,
Could you please send admin login details to support[at]gvectors.com? We need access to the Dashboard to be able check this issue.
Okay, will do asap...thanks.
Jim P.
I created a new admin user for the site, and used your support@ email address, but the user is not yet confirmed; could you please confirm that you received the user confirmation email from our WP site? I'd like to proceed on this issue if possible.
Regards,
Jim P.
I'm sending you another request to confirm the admin user I created for you.
Regards,
Jim P.
Hi James,
We don't receive your emails and just restarted all email services on our server. Could you please send admin login details again to support@gvectors.com email address.
Okay, you've been created as a user again, and added again to ds.lclark.edu/envx/, a site under development; you'll need to confirm your user via the email. I re-added the Popular Authors widget to the top right so you can see the behavior I reported.
Do let me know, please, if you don't receive the email or other questions.
Regards,
Jim P.
Hi James,
We've received you email. We'll let you know about result today.
Was looking at debug.log today for an unrelated issue, and found numerous instances of this:
[28-Jan-2015 23:54:43] WordPress database error Table 'wp_lclark.wp_133_users' doesn't exist for query SELECT posts.`post_author` AS `author_id`, COUNT(posts.`post_author`) AS `posts_count`, users.`display_name` as `user_name` FROM `wp_133_posts` AS `posts` INNER JOIN `wp_133_users` AS `users` ON posts.`post_author` = users.`ID` WHERE posts.`post_status` = "publish" AND posts.`post_type` IN("post") AND DATE(posts.`post_date`) BETWEEN '2014-03-22' AND '2015-01-28' GROUP BY author_id ORDER BY posts_count DESC LIMIT 10; /* From [ds.lclark.edu/envs160sp15/] in [/nas/wp/www/cluster-2550/lclark/wp-content/plugins/author-and-post-statistic-widgets-pro-us/includes/db-statistic.php:134] */ made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-includes/template-loader.php'), include('/themes/metro-pro/front-page.php'), genesis, do_action('genesis_after_content'), call_user_func_array, genesis_get_sidebar, get_sidebar, locate_template, load_template, require_once('/themes/genesis/sidebar.php'), do_action('genesis_sidebar'), call_user_func_array, ss_do_sidebar, genesis_do_sidebar, dynamic_sidebar, call_user_func_array, WP_Widget->display_callback, Statistic_Widget->widget, include('/plugins/author-and-post-statistic-widgets-pro-us/layouts/all-stats-tabbed-not-single.php'), Statistic->get_popular_authors_by_posts_count
Relevant? I'd believe so.

Hi James,
It seems APSW plugin tables have not been created. We can't check any issue on your websaite. The login details you've sent is a subscriber user, we need administrator access. Could you please change it?
This user issue looks like a multisite bug; I've re-added you as admin role user to here.
Regards,
Jim P.
Hi James,
Good News! We've found and fixed this issue. Just released APSW 1.3.2 . Please update.
So, I'm on Pro plugin and updated (manually; see other thread...cron job still does not report Pro plugin update available) to 1.1.2. Now Dashboard > Statistic Widgets is broken: none of the links on that settings page work, and all images are broken. Please fix asap.
Regards,
Jim P.
Ok,
Please wait, we're currently fixing this issue...
Hi James,
Something is not regular in your dashboard, this is the main reason of all those problem. We even don't see APSW in the list of plugins. Where is APSW? Why the menu of APSW exists but it doesn't exist in plugin list? Where can we deactivate APSW, delet and then install it again? Please let us know what's going on with the regular WP Plugin installation page. May be the user you've sent doesn't have permission to see that. Could you please set correct permissions? Also please try to deactivate delete and install APSW Pro from the main site plugin installation page. Please download the lates version from gvectors.com on "My Account" > "Orders" page.
James,
We just found that the APSW plugin folder has no permission in your file system, it seems you upload the folder of plugin with some FTP account which doesn't set proper permissions. If you familiar with FTP folder/file permission settings please set all folders 755 and all files 644. Also you can upload the zip file from admin area, this should set correct permissions.
This is your hosting service issue, APSW works fine, just fix the problem I mentioned above.
Okay, I've fixed the issue, which was not with file permissions but with directory name of uploaded plugin.
Would appreciate your clarification of the plugin update issue mentioned here, so we can definitely catch and easily install future updates.
Regards,
Jim P.
