Hi guys,

there seems to be something wrong with the access to the topics. I enable access to the forums for certain membership plans and set the following to yes:

1) Allow non-members to see the forum title and sub-forums.
2) Allow non-members to view the forum topic titles

However, logged in users with amembership plan will still not be able to access the topics. They can only see the forum - and not even their own topics.

It works only when I click on Content restriction for each topic once (Dashboard-WPForo-Moderation). I don't even have to save it or set the following to Yes: Allow non-members to view the topic title. I just need to click on it once. I cannot click on every new post that customers create (to many posts per day).

What could I do to deactivate the content restriction on all topics. I just want forums to be restricted.

By the way, I have disabled moderation so that every post is displayed immediately.

Thanks in advance!

Nadine

Hi @nadine-wolf,

This could be a cache issue. Please let me know what cache plugins you use.

You should find your cache plugin in this list and follow the instruction, make sure the forum page matches to the instruction. If your forum page is not /community/ then change it to whatever is yours: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wpforo-and-cache-plugins

Hi Tom,

thank you for your answer. I tried that (and changed /community/ to forum), but it´s still not working. My test account can create topics, but after refreshing the topic, I get the following message: A membership plan is required to access this forum topics.

Nadine

P. S. Happy New Year!

@nadine-wolf,

I'm sorry, but it's almost impossible to help you remotely. We could check it deeply if we got admin access to the WordPress dashboard. Please send admin login details to support[at]gvector.com email address.

I know. That´s why I gave you the login data for a test account. Check my email below the line "You´ll need a test account to actually see the problem, because admins of course see every post. You could use this one:"

There you will see login data for an account that cannot see all the topics. You can also create a new post with that test account and refresh the page. You´ll see that the test account can´t view his own post anymore.
