How to get user to display extra photos via the custom field "file upload"?

So small example, I have set a custom field extra photo with the intent that they could upload another photo aside from their avatar and that can get displayed on their profile. However, what gets displayed is a link to the uploaded photo....is there a way to display the photo right away without another user having to click on the link itself?

Thank you for letting us know. This was designed to work that way. But we'll take this under consideration and display image in next version.

But just having an extra photo or two displayed would be content enough for me.
