I am trying to get rid of twitter links in members profiles. But the software is buggy....
I try deleting the members feild, and though it can't be seen o the forum users profile page, it is still being picked up by broken link checkers.
I even try deleting the link in the actual profile, but when I press save, the link comes back, it cant be deleted. How can I fix this bug?

How are you removing the field? Are you removing it from the Profile Home tab or from the Account tab?
Yes using the UCF add on.
I put the Twitter field into the inactive fields section, and save. It will not be shown on the profile, but the link is still there in the code and found when I do a broken link check.
But that isn't the main issue.
I go to the page, and try deleting the link manually from their profile. After deleting, I press save, and the page refreshes.
Once refreshed, the twitter link is back...... as if I did nothing
So even when I remove the link manually, after refresh it is still there.
I think the profile pages are not excluded from your cache plugin. You should check them by deleting all kind of caches.
Also, please go wpForo > Overview admin page, scroll down, find the [Delete all caches] button and click it.
The link is displayed on the Profile Tab, but the field for inserting the link is located in the Account tab, so you should check both tabs in the UCF plugin. I'd also recommend make the Twitter fields in the both active, then try to delete the link, then delete wpForo cache, then make them inactive in the bot tab.

All wpforo pages are excluded from my cache, except the built in forum cache

It's seems this is a bug in the UCF addon. We're currently checking it to make sure. If so we'll update it asap.
