The badges for the likes on my site are not being awarded automatically like they should. They used to work fine but now they do not and Im not sure why.

It happens across all levels of the likes badges. Also, when I (or any other member) press the like button, it takes between 5 and 10 seconds for it to complete the process, sometimes even longer.

Can I have some one look into this please?

What would you need to do? Should I run a back up before you do anything or are you just running diagnostics?

@percysgrowroom,

Would be good to run a back-up, that's always a plus.

@percysgrowroom,

Let's do a clean start. As Robert mentioned in wpForo community, disable My Cred for a week and test the website speed. Continue the Duplicated Reactions issue at wpForo.

We can come back here after finishing with MyCred/Website Speed tests, which you need to do. Finish the duplicated reaction at wpForo. After solving both those issues, we can continue the Badges issue(no need to work on the badges when you need to disable the plugin)

@kylew Disable for a whole week? The problems are coming from wpforo reactions it seems. I don't think disabling mycred will do much? I have disabled it, and the likes are still slow. Turning it off for a whole week just seems like a massive waste of time. Are you sure this is the right move to make?

I would hate to waste a week on this to find that I am right and disabling my cred does nothing. My users like their badges, disabling mycred will get rid of them. A week is too long

The likes /reactions are causing massive load time. I think it is time for me to get rid of the points on Mycred, as this seems to be the biggest problem ( MyQuery tells me what causes the long page loads)

I recommend disable MyCRED for a few days and see the difference. We know very well how many SQLs it runs on each page loading process.

@kylew and what do we aim to achieve by doing this? To see if the site is working faster or slower once it is disabled?

Can someone just log in and try to find out why this is happening? I want ot get this issue solved ASAP. I need your help to do it as you guys are the designers of the plug ins I am using.

I will disable to for 24 hours and we can maybe do something tomorrow? I think we should see a difference in 24 hours right?

@percysgrowroom,

So can we say that it's not wpForo that slows down your Website, but My Cred, with its point or badges whatever it is.

Try disabling points for Likes in MyCred, but use all other options of MyCred that you were using. To find out which options of MyCred mostly effect on the website speed.

So you can find which options of MyCred should be disabled and which should be enabled. That should help you to choose between speed and functionality you'd like to have in your website.

@kylew And how do i do that mate? Will it delete the tables I have with the likes on them? Also, will this fix the problem of bling not being assigned automatically?

@percysgrowroom,

I'm talking about MyCred addons, which can be disabled. I don't know how much of them you use, but that may help you with tests.

@kylew I have disabled everything on my cred other than wpforo integration. I have removed all points from it so it is only awarding badges now.

But this hasnt fixed the problem, the badges for likes are still no being awarded automatically.

This suggestion was for testing the speed change.

About the Badges not rewarding for likes, need to check in your Forum.
