Hi I am trying to embed the Scribd pdf copy so it shows in the post. I just did the URL like instructed but it only shows the URL. I also tried to embed the big code, but that did not work.
Does Scribd work for showing the pdf? or is it just videos?

I'm sorry, but wpForo embeds add-on doesn't support Scribd embedding yet. We've already added it in our to-do list and we're going to implement it in next version release.
