This is simply article embedding feature, as far as the current page doesn't have the featured image this displays in this way.
If you disable the following options in the post content you'll see the links of the article:
- oEmbed Functions
- oEmbed current domain content
The options are located in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Addons > Embeds admin page.
