Hi, 'Maximum allowed file size is 1MB' is shown although we've changed the size to 512 KB under -

Settings > Addons > Attachments

Please see screenshots.

(Note: caching is off so shouldn't be a cache issue)

Thanks!

Ed

512kb attachment set
still says 1mb max

Hi all, I think I know what the problem is. The frontend wording (which the visitors see) seem to be dictated by:

Settings > Topics & Posts > Maximum upload file size

Unfortunately, the smallest value is 1 or 1MB. But in our case, we only want people to upload as large as 512KB only, as mentioned in my last post.

set at 2MB

showing 2MB

at least 1MB

What could we do?

Thanks

Ed

Unless this actually means the total size of files (plural) in every post?

Settings > Topics & Posts > Maximum upload file size

Weird. Now the frond end is showing 512KB correctly!

@edwin-lam,

we see the default wpForo image attachment button instead of the attach file buttons of the wpForo Advanced Attachments addons.

At first please register some testing user and send the user's login details with your forum URL to info[at]gvectors.com email address.

Hi Admin, email sent.

We've also found that a guest and a login user use different attachment methods, seemingly only the login user can use the one provided by the Advanced Attachments plugin.

Thanks
Ed
