You can edit this file through Dashboard. Just install the WP Editor plugin, then navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Editor and find the file in directory tree on right sidebar of this admin page.

I am sorry to bother you again. It seems, that the line of code you recommended to delete was not so unimportant after all. After deletion it turned out, that the attachment addon works, but my websites one-page pages are not displayed correctly anymore. I have consulted the theme developers if they could assist me, but they refuse to help since they do not support wpForo.
