Hi,

just installed your plugin on https://madtrash.com/community/ and it doesn't seem to work. I can attach 1 or more images. After uploading them I don't see the generated thumbnail, I see just the title. After I have selected the images with the checkboxes and press insert I'll get the error message, that I have to select the images by using the checkboxes. Ive checked the respective upload directory and no image files are there. I thought it was a problem with the chmod option, but changing this doesn't improve anything.

The console of Chrome inspection tool doesn't return any errors. Only if I try to delete the (obvisiously not) uploaded picture.

Can you please help.

Thanks, Bernd

I tried to deactivate and activate each plugin one by one ->> no success

I changed to different themes ->> no success

For this reason the reason can't be the theme or any of my installed plugins

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page, make sure either the GD and Image Functions or the PHP imagick extension is available.

Then check your database table and make sure the table called wp_wpforo_attachments is created. If you don't find the table, please deactivate the add-on and activate it again.

wp_ is just a prefix, it can differ in your case.

Also, please check the Numeric value of the folder and make sure it is set 755.

The attachment table was missing in the database. Added it manually and now it works fine...very cool, thank you!

I guess I know the reason why the attachments table was not created. When I've installed the wpForo main plugin, I faced some errors installing all tables in my database. The reason was my DB didn't recognize the default character set. I've changed the SQL code accordingly from 'utf8_general_ci' to just 'utf8' and created all tables manually in cpanel. After that the main plugin worked perfectly.

I'm sure the attachment plugin caused the same problem, while trying to create the attachment table. The install process of the advanced attachment plugin doesn't show any DB errors, so I got no idea.
