If not, I'll hire a developer to do it all (at least the SVGs and CSS parts; the JS would make updates incompatible). I don't mind hiring a dev, but I would hate to do this and then there's an big speed focused update a couple of months later.

@astgh 100% NOT the question I'm asking. At all. I have literally weeks messing with this WPDiscuz. Including an entire day testing what JS I could get away with deferring. Did you click on either one of those links?
This is by far one of the most bloated plugins out there. But it provides one functionality out of the box that I can't get anywhere else (photo uploads).
Please answer my question. Ask your developers. Are you guys planning on implementing any of the suggestions in those links anytime soon?
If not, then I will hire a developer.
Those are already being taken into consideration for future versions. However, we cannot provide any ETA.
