@astghik
Hi, I just updated to administrator. Please check and confirm.
Many thanks
yes, I see, thank you.
I also see the issue on your website. I'm going to ask plugin developers about the issue. Please wait a bit I'll update the topic once I get news for you.
@astghik
Which plugin are you referring to that is causing the conflict buddy?
I don't know which one. The wpDiscuz developers will check the issue. Please wait a bit. The topic will be updated soon.
@astghik
Will this take long to resolve. As I launched the site last week and starting to have a few users joining it?
The issue comes neither from wpDiscuz nor wpDiscuz Frontend Moderation add-on.
One of the active plugins uses the wp_delete_comment WordPress hook() and remove some actions which caused this issue. Actually, the comments are being deleted (you can check on Dashboard > Comments admin page), however, as some of the plugins also use the same hook and remove the action so the error message is being displayed.
Please deactivate the plugins one by one and check after each deactivation to find the problem maker one. Don't forget to press Ctrl+F5 before checking to reload updated JS/CSS files. And please keep the WP Rocket plugin deactivated during this testing process.
If you find the problem maker plugin and let us know will try to fix the issue. However, we cannot do any plugin deactivation on your live website.
ok @dendrites, thank you.
I've already asked the developers to check the issue. I'll update this topic asap.
@astghik
Good morning, my theme developers have also found that the issues is coming from BuddyPress site tracking features. The delete seems to work perfectly when it is turned off. But it is needed and a very important feature for the functionally of BuddyPress.
Another thing i just realised is users are able to delete the same comments directly from the wall in buddypress posts with out any error messages. Which proves that the problem is directly coming with WP Discuz
We cannot access your website. Please watch the video:
I know why. You have to re register. As that account may no longer exist. Because I had to restore the site to an earlier time due to a technical error
Still the same error.
Please register some new user (admin) and send the user's login details to info[at]gvectors.com email address.
Please install and activate the Duplicator — WordPress Migration Plugin, backup your WordPress site and send it to info[at]gvectors.com email address to allow us to check it.
@astghik
Hi, you can login to the site now. It is fixed. Please login and let me know. Many thanks
I meant the login problem is fixed but the conflict issue still remains with your plugin
Hello, please can you help!! This issue still remains unfixed. I might have to find and use an alternative plugin instead if you cant resolve this!!
We'll need to test it on our local server. Please install and activate the Duplicator — WordPress Migration Plugin, backup your WordPress site and send it to info[at]gvectors.com email address to allow us to check it.
@astghik
Ok mate, I'll try to do this evening or first thing tomorrow morning!!
Regards,
Hi astghik,
Just to let you know my theme developers would like to get in touch with you to work on a long term solution together. I have provided them with the above email address you provided. Please let me know when they have contact you.
Many thanks,
Hi, my theme developer has just sent you an email and said they are ready to assist with the solutions. Please acknowledge that you have received their email and kindly respond buddy. Regards
The issue comes from some of the plugins, not from the active theme, so theme developers have nothing to do here. Please confirm us to install and activate the following plugin (Duplicator – WordPress Migration Plugin) on your website, backup your WordPress site and test it on our local server.
@astghik
Hello, I hereby grant you access to install the necessary plugins such as; Duplicator in order to test and fix the issues on your local server. Please keep me update on how you are getting on!!
Many thanks
Thank you @dendrites.
The issue comes from the BuddyPress plugin and cannot be fixed by wpDiscuz side. For some reason, the wp_delete_comment WordPress function is being called twice (BuddyPress plugin uses hooks that calls the function) and it messes up wpDiscuz codes. You should contact BuddyPress support and ask them to check the issue.
@astghik
Ok, please can you promise to delete the copy of all my files and I will send a message back to my theme developers as they a very kind to always help me resolve issues I have with other plugin developers, such as yours. Could you kindly send a report of any of your findings back time my theme developer so they can take a look. I will also contact BuddyPress in the meantime.
Regards
Ok, please can you promise to delete the copy of all my file
Sure @dendrites, developers just deleted the copied files.
Could you kindly send a report of any of your findings back time my theme developer so they can take a look.
Yes, We'll contact them and let them know.
Hi, I am getting this error message on my comments
ReferenceError: a is not defined
Please deactivate the Super Progressive Web Apps plugin and check again.
Don't forget to delete all caches and press CTRL+F5(twice) on the frontend before checking.
hi,
just to confirm i don't have any Super Progressive Web Apps plugin installed. I also done a plugin diagnostic by deactivating all other plugins as well as tested WPDiscuz in a default Theme (Twenty Twenty) and the error message is still there...
We've checked your website one more time. We see there is the superpwa-sw.js file, which caused the issue (screenshot below).
You should find and fix the problem from the file I've mentioned.
Hi, sorry to say, this is an incorrect analysis of the problem. As i said above that the Superpwa plugin was deactivated and deleted many months ago. I also done the same test a you have using the Chrome browser and have a completely different result in the Chrome inspection. It is not showing Superpwa at all. Please can you have a closer look into this issue or find someone who might better understand this problem. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Regards,
Matthew
I performed this test and it does not exist on my site.
