This problem started a couple of months ago.

We have the Advanced Attachments and Custom Fields add ons.

Every so often, maybe one week, maybe two the following happens.

Both add ons show up as not being registered and I have to enter the activation code again which seems to activate them fine.

At the same time the links to 'some' but rarely all of the forums and individual posts revert to using the IP address and effectively break the system as users get warning messages in their browsers about the site being insecure.

Deleting the Cache resolves the address issues.

The two seem to be linked so can you please advise what I can do to stop this happening?

Thanks

David

Hi David,

On our server, the keys are registered with your website URL and when your URL is being changed to IP our server considers as none registered and cleans the registration details.  It seems there is some rollback plugins affect on this process or some server configurations are wrong.
I'd suggest you contact your server support and ask them which of the plugins do the rollback with the database.

Hi,

Thanks, is there any way you can check which URL the plugins are associated with. We originally had a problem with the plugins and the theme that had been used for the website, we then built another wordpress server specifically for the forum using the prefix forum. rather than www.

Is it possible this could be causing the issue and the licences need to be updated?

Thanks

David

The active theme doesn't have any relation to this issue as well as all gVectors plugins.

There is some additional plugin that periodically rollbacks your database (probably some of the tables). Another option is if there some configuration on the server side.

So please find the plugin that does this changing. Or contact your server support and ask them this question.
