I have the same issue as reported here:

Urgent! Errror with WpdiscuszHelperUpload.php

I am using paid 'wpDiscuz - Media Uploader' plugin which is currently expired, but which I can keep using.

When I update to latest 'wpDiscuz' plugin certain pages of my blog do not work anymore because of this issue.

"PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Using $this when not in object context"

Apparently the issue is solved in latest update of the 'wpDiscuz - Media Uploader' plugin. I can upgrade to latest 'wpDiscuz - Media Uploader' plugin when I buy a new registration for 1 year.

Issue is caused by update of 'wpDiscuz' plugin because when I revert to old version of the 'wpDiscuz' plugin I do not have the issue.

In my opinion an upgrade of the free 'wpDiscuz' plugin should never break a paid plugin. Please solve this is in the free 'wpDiscuz' plugin itself instead of 'forcing' me to buy a new registration.

@henrimatthijssen,

We're really sorry, but the old version of the wpDiscuz Media Uploader is not compatible with the new version of the wpDiscuz plugin. I may suggest you downgrade the wpDiscuz plugin and use the old version.

Are there any plan to fix this in the free 'wpDiscuz' plugin itself, as this update caused the issue?

@henrimatthijssen,

Some functions were changed in the new versions of wpDiscuz plugin. Those changes are not compatible with the old version of the addon.
