Commenters are getting the following error message when trying to submit a comment:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token Y in JSON at position 0
SyntaxError: JSON Parse error. Unexpected identifier "You"
I only became aware of this after a made the switch from http to https a couple of days ago - is there somewhere I need to change a setting?
I am running the latest version of WPDiscuz and have purged all caches including the WPDiscuz ones.
My site is https://www.kathmanduandbeyond.com
I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this issue. Many thanks.
Hi @pinkgecko,
This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with other plugins.
Please deactivate plugins one by one and check after each deactivation. Then switch some default theme and check again.
Please keep the cache plugin deactivated during this testing process.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I can't identify a plugin that is causing the issue. I have reverted to the WP default theme and the problem still exists. I've also reported it to Elegant Themes and they've checked and confirmed it's not theme related.
If I deactivate the plugin or delete it, please confirm that I won't lose any comments.
Thanks.
So I can from your FAQ section that deactivating and/or deleting isn't a problem. I've deactivated WPDiscuz for now and hopefully will be able to resolve the problem with it.
I hope you'll be able to resolve the problem and you'll use wpDiscuz again. And yes, you can install and uninstall wpDiscuz plugin whenever you want without any worries.
