Hi,
I am using wpdiscuz along with Harrys gravatar cache plugin.
The Gravatars are being cached, but still loaded via secure.gravatar.com like:

How can I fix this to the local stored avatars?

Please make sure it's compatible with wpDiscuz. Contact to this plugin support and ask them to check it. wpDiscuz uses default WordPress "get avatar" functions. wpDiscuz doesn't have own avatar loader functions.

Yes 🙂 The Plugin didn't cache the avatars, when you are logged in as administrator.
unfortunately the plugin also got my eight cores up to 100% - we are gonna write our own gravatar cache.

@Kai, I found a gravatar cache plugin that works properly with wordpress & wpforo, ie: logged in or not.
It's NIX Gravatar Cache 0.0.7:
