Love the plugin and the live update features, but had an issue last month where I was shut off multiple times for going over my cpu process usage by my web hosting company. I got the following email the first time.
Your account has exceeded the grace number of program and script executions and your web service was again limited for the calendar month. You might be having problems accessing your website, but all other services such as email, cPanel or else are active and available for you. The limit will be removed automatically at 00:10 a.m. CDT on the first day of the next calendar month and service will be fully restored.
Allowed Quota: 800000 script executions/mo
Your Current Usage: 963205 script executions/mo
Live updates were set to 10 seconds, and then I bumped them back to 20, 30, a minute, and eventually off because they kept going over my limits. Is there a way to limit the number of processes WPDiscuz uses, orany best practices? Now that the month has restarted, I've set it back to 3 minutes, but I feel like the next time I have a big traffic push, it will break again. Any advice would be appreciated.
Could you please leave your hosting server information?
Also, I'd recommend disable Live Update for guests, and set 30 sec for update requests.
No point in disabling Live Update for guests, as only guests comments outside of a few writers. I can set to 30 seconds.
My site is hosted on SiteGround. Not sure what other info you need.
