After installing the WpDiscuz plugin and attempting to activate social login, I have become very frustrated with this product. I have the following comments:
1. Your demo has social login, so it shouldn't be so mysterious on how to set it up.
2. Your social tab in the settings (referenced in numerous support threads) has been removed without explanation.
3. Your documentation contains no info on social login.
I'm doing my best here to get this thing working without bothering you (doing searches on the forum etc), but you aren't making it easy.
After reading a bunch of threads I see you are making your own social login plugin, which I'm guessing is why you have removed the settings tab. Suggestion: in the future be sure to leave enough info in place in settings, documentation etc so that people have some idea what is going on with an important feature. (If it's in your demo, it's an important feature).
Hi @ditchmonkey,
The built-in social login development has no relation to the removed Social Login tab. wpDiscuz 5 has new Settings Tabs and the Social Login has been removed to get more place for Comment Form and Comment List tabs. The social login tab does nothing. It's just contains four buttons which redirects you to the plugin installation window. You can do the same on plugins page. Nothing is changed, all plugins are still compatible and stay the same. wpDiscuz is still compatible with most popular social login plugins. You should install those in Dashboard > Plugins admin page.
We just removed an extra step in Social Login plugin installation. Instead of two steps (navigating to the Social login tab of wpDiscuz setting page then install the plugin) you can do that with one step in Dashboard > plugins admin page.
Also, please note that we're working on new wpDiscuz documentation, it'll include all necessary information for all features. the current documentation will be removed very soon.
The point was, your documentation has absolutely no information on how to do this, or what social plugin to use (unless I'm wrong, please correct me) and most of the related support threads mention this missing social tab in the settings. This is a big void in your documentation that ends up wasting a lot of time.
wpDiscuz 5 doesn't have documentation yet. As i've already mentioned the current one is an old and will be removed soon.

wpDiscuz doesn't have Social Login buttons so there is no information how to do this. We'll add it once the built-in buttons are added. At the moment we only can discuss in forums about how to integrate Social Login plugins' buttons with wpDiscuz. This also will be included in new wpDiscuz doc.
