Hello!

I run a membership site and I really like this plugin. And when I am logged on as admin, everything works fine.

But when a registered user wants to leave a comment, there is an empty red noticifation bar which appears above the comment field – see here: After a while, the bar on the top of the page stops loading and nothing else happens. However, when the page is refreshed, the comment is there and everything is fine. When the user tries to send a reply, I have the same problem.

I also enabled the live update, but that doesn’t change anything.

When the user clicks on the “edit” button, the bar on the top of the page loads, then stops loading, but nothing happens – the user is not able to edit the message…

This is only happening for registered users, not for the admin.

We are not using any caches. I already deactivated all other plugins it could conflict with, but the error persists. I had a programmer check and he discovered that there is a "JavaScript error, specifically a “JSON parse” error". He said it's coming from your plugin so there is nothing he can do.

Could you please look into that JSON parse error and maybe fix it for the next release? I love all the features your plugin offers and would really like to use it.

Many thanks!

Juliane

Hi, one example is this one, https://www.germantogo.com/step-1/tag-1/alphabet/ but commenting is not allowed for unregistered users and your plugin is currently not activated (because of the error). What can we do?

We just checked and found something affects on AJAX requests, wpDiscuz can't connect to WordPress AJAX system. This is probably other plugin affection. Please backup website database and disable all other plugins and test it by enabling those one by one in order to find the conflict maker. Don't forget do Ctrl+F5 on front-end before each test.

Hi, I just checked all the other plugins again, doing Ctrl+F5 but the error remains... What else could that be? 🙁

I'm sorry but we have no other clue. Something is wrong on your website, this issue can not be fixed from wpDiscuz side, this issue comes from outside of wpDiscuz plugin. Maybe this is a theme issue, or you've not checked well plugin conflicts. Also this could be server configuration issue. Something affects admin-ajax.php file of your WordPress installation, we can't find it.
