Is it possible for a user to opt out of receiving and sending private messages?
Is it possible with your custom field plugin?
I know they can block users, so there's that.

Hi @scoreclub007,
There is a permission "Can write PM" in Dashboard > Forums > Usergroups admin page. You can uncheck the "Can write PM" permission/CAN for the current usergroups.
