I just went onto my forum and noticed that embeds were not working anywhere.

I've already tried deactivating embeds, then deleting and re-installing, but nothing is working.

Can we have a fix, please?

@deeveearr),

Please provide the following info:

1. wpForo Embeds addon version

2. wpForo Version

3. Direct URL to a topic where we can see the embedded content even if it's not loaded.

The Embeds Addon version is 2.0.13 (just downloaded)

From the WordPress dashboard:

  • You are currently running wpForo 1.9.9.1

A URL to a YouTube link:

https://midlandsmaidens.com/community/general-chat/the-russel-williams-confession/#post-156

...which just has a static image instead of the video - unless I go to 'edit' it, when it makes me look like a liar until I save it, then it returns to a static image.

At present, ALL of my Google Drive videos are working so I tried embedding the YouTube videos, which looked fine on the 'edit' screen.

Doing it this way though after a save, even the static image had disappeared.

The URL above is a YouTube link, rather than an embed.

@deeveearr,

wpForo Embeds addon doesn't have any relation to the static embedded images. Also, it doesn't support Google Drive content. I think your embedding issue is connected to other plugins. You have changed something in your plugins. I'm sorry but this issue cannot be supported from our side. Thy to revert back all recent changes in plugins and in the website configuration. Make sure the embedded content permissions have not been changed in the embed content providers.

It does allow google drive content, as I followed a tutorial on how to embed it.

I'll run 'health check' with just wpforo and the embed add-on enabled, and get back to you.

Right then - it appears to be a conflict with WP Rocket.

How do I get around that one?

Considering that there are two sections in 'File Optimisation', one for CSS and one for javascript files to be excluded from optimisation what in your opinion should I be adding in either or both of those two fields?

@deeveearr,

I'm sorry but I have no idea. First, it's better to delete all kind of caches, purge the CDN if you have then disable this plugin to make sure the problem make is that. Then contact to the plugin support to understand the conflict points.
