[Solved] Only Admins can upload certain file types

Hi if the user is not an admin they can only upload a few file types, i.e. jpg but not the majority, i.e. pdf, txt, etc.  If they are upgraded to Admin in the forum they can instantly upload any of the supported file types. 

The file types are in the 'Accepted File Types' for the associated usergroup i.e. moderator but whenever they try and upload, for example a docx they get the following error -

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Hi @john-dean,

Go to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Addons > Attachments, copy Admins Usergroup Accepts File Types and insert them for the those Usergroups you need.

Hi @kylew I have already done that I'm afraid.  It was the first thing I tried and it didn't make any difference.

Go to Dashboard > Forums > Tools > New Registered User field and remove PDF from Do not allow to attach files with following extensions:

Thank-you that was the issue.  As the forum is only accessible to registered members I have removed the restrictions for new users.
