I was going to compress uploaded pictures with Imagify but I discovered that it's not possible.

Is there any plugin that can optimize advanced attachments pictures?

Thank you.

Hi @jose-rivera,

wpForo advanced attachments addon use own library for the uploaded images, so using optimizer may not work on the images, however you can try some plugins to find out is there a one which works on AA addon, Examples: https://blog.hubspot.com/website/best-wordpress-image-optimization-plugins

I tried all the plugins of that list and none of them work. 🙁

I hope this gets addressed in future updates.

@jose-rivera,

There is nothing to fix in AA addon, as I said AA addon has its on library, if the optimizer plugin doesn't have functionality to for other libraries of the website. You can contact the optimizer plugin support and suggest them to add that kind of functional.

try "Imagify" from the list, this works

you just need to add the attachments folder to the ones you want to optimize

imagify wpforo attachments

I contacted them and gave access to the backend.They tried all sorts of things and it seems that the problem is that I have to much pictures, more than 100K.I gave up and hope that someone finds a solution for this.

@jose-rivera

You can also optimize the images one by one or in groups instead of all at once
and when the number of optimizations for this month is reached (free version), continue next month

Just test yourself instead of waiting for someone to tell you what to do 😉

@jose-rivera,

wpForo Advanced Attachments addon creates thumbnails for each uploaded image, so it loads a small version of uploaded images. This is all the addon can do for your image optimization, we don't have other solution for you.

I downloaded all files via FTP compressed them in my computer and upload them again, the number given by advanced attachments add-on makes possible to do this, but I think image compression should be available with advanced attachments, it will make life much easier.

@joselito,

Have you checked Big JPEG Quality option? That optimizes the Image.
