Hello,

I am currently using the custom fields add-on for my forum. I have created a registration page and enabled the registration option. However, when I attempt to register as a new member on my forum, I receive an email asking to set up my password. After doing so, it should validate my account, allowing me to log in. However, when trying to log in with the password I just set up, I get an error message saying my account isn't validated, and as a result, I cannot log in.

Here is the link to the sign-in page: https://www.fame-master.eu/sign-in/

Could you please provide insights?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @pierre-chopot ,

As far as I know, you cannot register directly and require manual approval from moderators or admins to activate your account. I suspect you have enabled the manual approval system for user registration in the wpForo login and registration settings page. For more information, please refer to the documentation page I have provided: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/login-registration/#enable-user-manually-approval-system

Thank you for your reply. In fact, the manually approve setting is disabled. I have checked all settings and don't understand why the "set up password" link doesn't automatically approve the member, allowing them to log in.

Could you provide screenshots of the error pages or the pages preventing login?

Here are some screenshots: one from the confirmation message after registration, another from the landing page following the link in the confirmation email received, and finally, one displaying the error message received after trying to log in with the password.
