I have checked 'Show sorting buttons', but that doesn't show.
should I use some short code?
WordPress 4.6.1
use plugin:buddypress,wpDiscuz Front-end Moderation,wpDiscuz Media Uploader etc.

Make sure this option is unchecked. wpDiscuz sorting buttons doesn't work with default comment pagination mode ( [1][2]... ):

And you can manage "10 top level comments" value to get change number of top level comments per [Load More] button click.
