Hi there, I'm getting a lot of activity on my site so the list of comments is getting way to long. Is there a way to limit how many comments to show on each post? Tabs?

Yes, please read this documentation, you should manage "Break comments into pages with [X] top level comments per page the [last/first] page displayed by default." option. But please don't check/enable the checkbox before  "Break comments into pages with" phrase, only use the "top level comments per page the" dropdown:
