How to make new replies and topics not show up at preview? And no registration email question

Hi I!'m a new WPForo user. I'm at the middle of my first WPForo configuration. Everything is going fine except for 2 little details:

1- When I create a new topic or a new reply at a topic, you can see a preview of said reply or topic at the topics list ( for the reply) and the categories list. Is there any way to not make them show up? If you're using WPForo here, I would like to makeit exactly like it shows at the gVectors Team category, not like you can see at the WPForum Addon support category (here!) where you can see the topics and replies previews.

2 - When a new user registers, you never receive the email with the password setup link. I have to manually activate each new account. How can I fix that?
