Hello

To get people more involved in forum discussions, I would like, that every one would receive an email notification about what's going on in the forum for example every week. Like a summary of forum activities per email.

Is there such an option or something similar?

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

Hi @danielhunziker,

I'm sorry but wpForo doesn't have automatic subscription options. This kind of options don't comply GDPR and they are not manageable.

Here is the suggestion you can use:

1. Create a new forum, e.g Announcement.

2. Create a new Admin Note that encourages users to subscribe to the Announcement forum. More info here: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/html-content-on-admin-message-on-forum-front-page/#post-20205

3. Each time you create a new topic the subscribed users will get email notifications.

Hello @Astghik

Thanks for your reply.

That's a pitty, that there is no such option... but actually I've seen such options on other forums. In my case it's a closed forum, only for paying customers - only they can see this forum. They already have an account and gave me their information like email adress and so on. So I'm sure in my case, that woudn't be in conflict with GDPR.

How is that, when someone creates a new topic. Does every forum member then receive an email about it?

Is there an option to implement a forum overview in an email? I could send such an email regularly by my autoresponser (Getresponse). I mean something like a little picture of the newest activities in wpforo, to let everyone know, what's going on there. But I should work automatically, so that it would be updated in each new autoresponder email. Do you know what I mean?

Thanks for any help.
Daniel
