Is there a way to mass delete a banned member's posts, rather than having to do so individually? Thanks.

Hi @jamie,

Your question is related to the wpForo plugin, isn't it? If so please watch the video below: https://www.screencast.com/t/iikoMWsAf

Thanks - that video shows users being deleted, can I assume that also deletes their posts? However, if a user is deleted through wpForo does that actually delete the user from the Wordpress user table too? We assumed that was the case so decided to ban the users instead (which doesn't delete their posts) so that they were unable to sign up again with the same credentials and post more spam. In summary, what we're really looking to do is:

1. Immediately stop the user from posting as soon as we see spam.

2. Remove their spam posts.

3. Stop them signing up again with the same email address and posting more spam (obviously they could just use another address but at least we want to makes things harder).

If deleting removes their Wordpress account and they can just sign up again it would be great to be able to ban them but also have an easy way to remove their posts, rather than having to click through to each one individually.

Delete – opens native WordPress user delete screen. If a user has Blog content or Forum content you will be asked to attribute all content to another user before deleting this user. You can keep (attribute) or delete user with their Blog (posts/comments) and Forum content (topics/posts)  by selecting “Delete all content/Delete all wpForo content” options.

I'd also suggest you read this FAQ: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/how-to-stop-spam/

Many thanks, I wasn't aware of the option to delete all wpForo content on that page, that's useful. We have the other anti-spam solutions enabled (plus a couple more) but I still think *maybe* it would also be good to have the option to ban, rather than delete, the user while having an easy way to delete all their previous posts at once. From my perpsective as a forum admin I can imagine some scenarios where that would be thPerhaps something to consider in future?

PS FYI I included a thumbs up emoji in this post and it wouldn't send (got saved as a revision though) so I had to remove it...

@jamie,

Could you please explain in other words. I don't follow you well.

Sure, no problem. I'm suggesting that under some circumstances it might be useful to be able to do the following with wpForo:

1. Ban a user to stop them from posting to the forum, but without deleting their account.

2. Remove all their forum posts easily, either with a single button click or by selecting their posts from a list.

If I understand correctly I can't do that at the moment, I can either delete a user together with all their posts, or ban a user but then I need to remove their posts individually.

Thank you @jamie, now all is clear.

yes, that's work in this way. However, I'll contact the developers and ask them about this. Probably we may implement it in future releases.
