To disable only the email notifications while keeping the forum notification bell active, you can navigate to "Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Subscriptions & Mentioning > Enable User Mentioning" and disable this option. However, please note that this will disable that feature for all users.

Regarding the feature for controlling this from each user's profile, we've already added it to our to-do list, and it will be included in the next versions of wpForo core.

I have found that users DO NOT want to receive and email each time they get mentioned. But they DO want to get a notification bell on the board. There is not way to separate the two. You either get both and email and bell notification or you get neither. There is no way to give the user an option of either/or. This is the number 1 complaint that I get from my users.

Make sense?
