Thank you very much for the help with this.  I looked at both.  I suppose I could test both...but wondering if you knew if users could EDIT the embedded document and it will save automatically.  I am basically looking to establish a private forum for select people to continuously update a spreadsheet.  Thanks again.

FYI - I have your POLLS add on.  This is very useful, but unfortunately, there is a limitation to the amount of answers you can have.  That is why I cannot use this addon for what I am looking for.

We've found the following two plugins: 

1. Office Viewer – Embed MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Other Office Doc 
2. Document Embedder – Embed Word, excel, Powerpoint, Pdf and more..

Just make sure the "WordPress Shortcodes in Post Content" option is enabled. It's located in the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features Tab. 

Thank you for the response.  Can you please explain "Currently, we may suggest you find some pdf/word/excel reader plugin that may make the integration with wpForo Advanced Attachments add-on." means?  Do you know if a plugin that would work with wpforo and your addon?  I don't want to screw up my site.

We're really sorry, but neither wpForo Embeds nor wpForo Advanced Attachments add-ons have such feature. However, we’ll take this into consideration for sure.
