Hi. For years I've been using the unsupported Comment Images plugin by Tom McFarlin. I would very much like to switch to your plugin with the Media Uploader, but when I switch off Tom's plugin all the previously uploaded images disappear from the comment area. The images are one of the biggest draws of my site, so I can't afford to let them disappear.

I'm sure this could be fixed with a small bit of code, but I don't know how to write it. Can you recommend someone who could do this for me before making the switch to your product?

Thanks!

Hi @ultimatepapermache,

I'm sorry, but there is no simple solution I can post here. If you compress/zip this plugin, and sent it to us we'll be able to add a new import tool in next version release.

@astghik Hello Astghik, your Comment Plugin is a bomb and I really like it! But I also have the Problem, that the uploaded pictures in my comments don't show up. I also used Comment Images Reloaded (reloaded version Comment Image by Tom McFarlin) and want to use the wpDiscuz Media Uploader. Are there any news to import the pictures from existing comments? Greetings, Martin

@martinschlobach,

Sorry for the late response.

Could you please compress/zip this plugin, and sent it to us we'll be able to add a new import tool to convert those images for the wpDiscuz.

@elvina no problem. Here is the file fot the Comment Images Reloaded Plugin

Is there also a Chance to make an Import for the Plugin Lightweight Subscribe To Comments (former "comment-notifier-no-spammers") ?

Greetings Martin

@elvina Hello GVector Team,

I understand that you have a lot of work right now with the new Version of wpdiscuz 7 but are there any news about to import pictures from existing comments? I have the paid version, but the whole commentsystem is useless for me if I can't import the pictures from my old comments. Just give me a hint if you plan it very soon or not.

Same issue with the Import for the Plugin Lightweight Subscribe To Comments (former "comment-notifier-no-spammers"). Are there any news about that?

Greetings Martin

PS: I send everything you asked for per E-Mail but never got a reply 🙁

@martinschlobach,

Thank you for understanding.

The developers will check it and if it possible we will add the import tool as soon as possible. I'll update the topic once I have some news for you.

@martinschlobach,

The importer for the  Comment Images Reloaded plugin already exists in the next wpDiscuz version. Once we update the plugin, you will be able to use it. You just need to go to the Dashboard > Comments > wpDiscuz > Tools > Import images tab and import images of the Comment Images Reloaded plugin into wpDiscuz.

The importer for the  Lightweight Subscribe To Comments plugin a little later.

In the next versions update you will be able to import subscriptions from Lightweight Subscribe To Comments plugin to the wpDiscuz.

@astghik The files for the comment-imgae plugin are here:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/comment-image/

I'm also trying to figure out how to import photos from this plugin to yours.
