Hello!

I purchased many Addons to WpDiscuz and I like the features. But I also want my products to be more communicative and I would like the WpDiscuz form also in my product pages. I recently installed WooDiscuz but its nothing like the WpDiscuz plugin. I am using wordpress.com business so I have no access to PHP functions.. any way to integrate this?

My website post type:  https://wudang.academy/the-mystery-of-xuan-gong-quan/

My websites product type:  https://wudang.academy/product/ancient-chinese-literature-bamboo-scrolls/

Hi MichaelWeichhardt,

wpDiscuz addons are designed especially for wpDiscuz. You cannot use those for wooDiscuz.

If you'd like to display wpDiscuz on the product page navigate to Dashboard > Comments > Forms, edit the "Default Form ", enable it for product post type. Also, you can create new comment form special for the product page.

More info here:

https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-documentation/getting-started/custom-comment-form/comment-form-builder/

I did this and for some reason, it shoes on some product pages and on the others not.

Here it shows:  https://wudang.academy/product/authentic-custom-wudang-uniform/

Here it does not show:  https://wudang.academy/product/organic-wudang-tea/

Could you give me a hint what is the reason for this behavior? Thanks

Please disable WooDiscuz plugin, delete all caches and check again (do CTRL + F5 on frontend).

Thank you for the fast answer - I disabled the plugin WooDiscuz - but nothing changed - I also have no cache in the background since I have Business plan of wordpress.com

Hi MichaelWeichhardt,

It seems comments_template() function is missed on the product pages, that don't display wpDiscuz comment form.  Could you please change the theme(switch to some default theme) and check again?

Yes, I checked on another theme and the problem persists. It is strange that one product shows the comment section and the others don't - makes no sense.

Just to make the ultimate goal clear - I would like to have WPdiscuz on the product pages - with all its functionality I think it is great for product reviews - I have no real need for Woodiscuz. Please ask me first if you need to do any critical changes - since the website is fully functioning and frequently visited! thank you

Could you help me how to do that? My website is from wordpress.com so all plugins that might do this function are not supported and I have no ftp access.

You can simply look at what plugins and what theme I have and try to find a solution.

It seems the theme has been customized, that's why we need to test wpDiscuz on the current theme. Please read this article.

https://www.wpbackitup.com/blog/manually-restore-wordpress-plugins-themes-media-files

Or confirm to install and activate the following plugin (Duplicator – WordPress Migration Plugin) on your website. We'll be able to clone your files and test it on our servers.

BIG NEWS! I managed to fix it... the answer was simple... for wordpress.com users you have no enable reviews in the admin dashboard edit... BUT you have it in the Quick Edit! After working for 30 minutes with WordPress developers, we found this solution, and it's truly bizarre... but it works that way... so wordpress.com users have to enable reviews over the quick edit function for each product separately. Thanks my issue is closed now!
