Well it worked however it's not very satisfying. Every time someone comes to my site I have to put up a big banner telling them if they are using mobile they have to go to private mode and empty their caches. Most don't even know what a cache is and are going to say screw this and move on.

I have the media uploader addon. I went and checked my site on mobile, a Samsung running Chrome and the thumbs come up really short and wide as the screen.
