We paid for the media uploader addon for the old version of WPDiscuz.

Now it looks media uploading functionality is built into latest WPDiscuz.

The problem is that our old comments with images uploaded with the legacy Media Uploader Addon are all missing now ... which creates a huge problem for us.

Are the latest WPDiscuz compatible with the Media Uploader Addon?

How can we bring back all the images in comments?

Help, please!

Hi @lim101325,

Is Media Uploader addon still relevant?

Sure!

It has become even better and has lots of new features.

Media Uploader is not a built-in function. Only one image (no other file types) you can attach with the built-in media button. The Media Uploader addon still relevant. It brings dozens of media attachments functions and features. You can attach multiple files and multiple file types. It adds Filter button to the comment list to filter and see comments with media, and brings lots of options to manage comments media.

Please see the attachments, this is all the media Uploader addon:

wpDiscuz Media Uploader comment form
wpDiscuz Media Uploader comment with images videos audios zip files
wpDiscuz Media Uploader filter for only comments with media

wpDiscuz Media Uploader upload attach audio to comment
wpDiscuz Media Uploader upload zip pdf and other file types with comemnts
wpDiscuz Media Uploader upload attach videos to comment

wpDiscuz Media Uploader Dashboard Settings 1
wpDiscuz Media Uploader Dashboard Settings 2

Sorted that out by regenerating thumbnails.
